Notice for the comment of registration and screening exercise for direct entry candidates for 2017/2018/academic year
This is to candidate who made the university of uyo their first choice in the 2017/2018 direct entry admission that the university direct
Entry registration has commenced.
Candidate are therefore advised to apply for screening exercise scheduled to hold as follows:

Date: Saturday, 11, 2017
Venue: Onyema Ugochukwu Auditorium, town campus
Time: 8:00am
Eligible candidate are to apply through the university portal @ www.uniuyo.edu.ng/eportals or
Registration fee is N2,000 (excluding bank charges)

Note: registration ends on the 9th of November, 2017

ASUU justifies strike, accuses Ngige of blackmail Olufemi Atoyebi, Ibadan The Academic Staff Union of Universities has called on the Minister for Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, to desist from cheap blackmail in the handling of the ongoing strike called by the union. The President of the union, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, in a bulletin on the strike, asked members of the union to disregard the comment by the minister that the strike was illegal. He said, “Our national struggle to revitalise the Nigerian university system is comprehensive and total. Remain resolute and steadfast as victory is certain.” Also, the ASUU Chairman at the University of Ibadan, Dr Deji Omole, who condemned the tactics employed by the Federal Government over the demands of the union, said it was deceitful for the minister to insinuate that the N23bn earned allowances, which the Federal Government promised to pay soon, were only for lecturers. UNIUYO RESUMES FOR 2017/2018 ACADEMIC YEAR

This is to inform all students and stakeholders of the university of uyo that the early scheduled of the commencement of 2017/2018 academic session which was postponed has been rescheduled to commence from Monday, the 2nd of October for 2017/2018 academic session for returning students and post graduate students, lectures for returning students Will commence from 9th October 2017 Normal registration without penalty runs from 2nd October till 13 October.. While registration with penalty runs from 16th october to 27th October (N2000) Registration for first semester ends 31st October 2017 Students are advise to complete their registration through the university portal within the schedule time, student who failed to do so would be deemed to have forfeited their studentship and withdrawn voluntarily from the university On behalf of seneate i wish our dear students the best in 2017/2018 academic year.
