NAT, NASU SUSPEND STRIKE

ABUJA – FULL administrative activities are set to commence in the nation’s public universities as non teaching staff in the nation’s universities have called of their over three months old strike. Mallam Adamu Adamu, the Minister of Education The non-teaching staff of Nigerian universities operating under three unions, namely, the Non Academic Staff Union of Universities, NASU, Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU and National Association of Academic Technologists, NAAT, who have been on trike since December 4, last year, announced the suspension of the over three months strike Wednesday. Announcing the suspension of the strike at a press conference in Abuja, Samson Ugwoke, the National Chairman of the Joint Action Committee of the three unions involved in the action said members will resume work on Thursday.
